i know that this might not be the best post for a second post on a blog i promised would have interesting articles but i feel that i have a responsibility in contributing in any little way to help my people make the right choice for a better future. this is only my opinion and you may or may not agree with it. i generally keep away from politics and related discussions but i had to post this because of the current state of affairs in our state.
with the current political situation in our state, its our responsibility to be aware of who has the best interests for the people. i have been looking at all the candidates and i feel that "loksatta" started by dr.jayaprakash is the one that works in the best interests of the people. as long as loksatta has the same ideals as it had when it was started, it should be the best choice for us. the uneducated(i stress on uneducated and not illiterate) will take a while to understand whats good and whats bad.
for those if you who do not know dr.jayaprakash, he was one of the senior-most IAS officers during NTR's time and gave up his illustrious career to serve the people. i dont say we should worship him or anything like that! just listen to his policies and make the right decision. for those of us in the US, you ask what we can do? we can talk to people close to us in India(even 1 person is a change) and help take a small step towards a better future.
more on dr.jayaprakash here (cos u should understand the candidate before you support him)

karan thapar is an interviewer who was with DD and is now with CNN IBN and is regarded as one the best in India. his program 'devil's advocate' brings out the true colors of anyone who dares to accept his invitation for an interview. these videos are not from the devil's advocate but you can still understand a lot from these interviews abt the ideals of the loksatta party.
i could not find video number 4. these are from his interview with karan thapar before loksatta entered into politics when it was an org helping people all over the state.

these are videos on cnbc of when loksatta was acting as the watchdog for elections, to check and make sure as much as possible that elections were conducted in a just manner. when you have intellectual people with the right intentions in the governance instead of the numerous(not all) criminals we now have, we can be assured that we will be headed in the right direction.
